Avalonia Festival of Short Films etc Judge Kazuya Ashizawa came to our attention when he won our Best Dramatic 1 Minute Movie in our first festival back in 2017 for his concert “behind the scenes” intense piece 14:00 (above). Starting with Avalonia Festival V, Kazuya joined our team to help us go through all our films and pick our Award Winners.

Meanwhile, Kazuya continues to make films himself. One of Kazuya’s own new projects is “My Theater” (below).

Kazuya is a very fair and open minded judge who loves films from all over the world; his opinions have been a valuable addition to our selection process.
